Livewire creates Australia/New Zealand High School Tournament Featuring Fortnite for Acer Predator

Tapping into the passion for gaming, community and competition among school students in Australia and New Zealand.

Video game marketing leader Livewire has created a high school tournament ft. Fortnite for Acer’s gaming-focused brand, Predator, to give high school students across Australia and New Zealand the chance to play with their classmates to win a national championship.

The inaugural Acer Predator League Academy is supported by Intel and is run online using custom Fortnite Creative maps designed to promote teamwork, strategy and entertaining competition. Students will form teams of four representing their school to battle it out for glory in the tournament that runs between April and October. Schools are encouraged to enter multiple teams via the official Acer Predator League Academy website.

The league will be split into two online seasons (called splits), with the Championship taking place at SXSW Sydney® in October 2024.

The tournament will be promoted across Acer and Intel’s channels, by League Ambassadors and global Fortnite gaming icons Lachlan (24m+ followers), and Loserfruit, 13m+ followers), both part of PWR, an Australian gaming and entertainment organisation. The pair will spearhead awareness during the tournament’s launch period, amplify content as the tournament progresses and will make a final event appearance to crown the champions.

Livewire will also drive awareness of the league via Gameview, its exclusive gaming media marketplace and audience SSP.
