
Sentinels, Tarik Celik and Amazon MGM Studios, in partnership with gaming marketing company Livewire, brought the worlds of esports and Hollywood together in promotion of the theatrical release of The Accountant 2, now playing only in theaters.
As part of the collaboration, lead star Ben Affleck, who returns as Christian Wolff in the franchise’s second instalment, made a surprise appearance on Sentinels streamer Tarik Celik’s Watch Party for the team’s VCT Americas Stage 1 group stage finale against 2G.
Affleck—who plays VALORANT in his spare time and whose son is a Sentinels and Tyson “TenZ” Ngo fan—sat comfortably on the couch alongside fans and creators, watching Sentinels claim a dominant 2-0 victory.
The campaign generated over twenty five million views across social media and video/streaming platforms within days of activation from Sentinels and Tarik, including posts on X, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Key moments from the event—including Affleck’s surprise appearance, picking up the Sentinels Masters trophy, Tarik’s official YouTube recap, Sentinels match recap, and Sentinels match vlog—drove massive visibility and fan interaction across social channels such as X (Twitter), YouTube, and Instagram, marking one of Sentinels’ most impactful cross-promotional campaigns to date.
Affleck and his son previously attended the 2023 VALORANT Champions event in Los Angeles, making this appearance both personal and celebratory.
